Number of uninsured American youth increases

Reuters reports that the already massive number of Americans aged 19-29 who lack health insurance coverage has grown from 13.4 to 13.7 million.  According to the article, two thirds of those surveyed claim that inability to afford prescriptions and doctor visits has prevented them from seeking out treatment.  How can the “greatest country on earth” allow its youth to choose between paying rent and seeking medical care?

Ralph Nader is the ONLY candidate who will institute universal, single-payer health coverage for ALL AMERICANS.  Clinton and Obama have devised unconstitutional, privatized schemes that will put more of our taxpayer money into corporate coffers.  For John McCain, healthcare isn’t even a priority.  He wants to keep funding a “100 year war.”  They already had one of those, back in the Middle Ages — this is 2008. Indeed, our government’s priorities are not with life, but with death — we outspend every nation in the world on a war machine, to promote death and destruction, while getting outspent by every other Western nation on healthcare.

This November, think hard about the candidates on the ballot and the type of country you want to give to your children.  A vote for Ralph Nader is a vote for life.
