The cost of low prices

Just when you think corporate greed and anti-social behavior can’t get any worse… Wal-Mart always finds a way to out-do themselves, though.  But hey, I guess when they’re selling low-quality products below cost, losses have to be shored up elsewhere.

Ms. Shanks’ case is the social cost of America’s mad desire to buy, buy, buy, as cheaply as possible.  Too bad we’re all so squeezed that we can’t pay a few more bucks and shop someplace else.
