More Evidence that Republicans and Democrats are the Same
As though we needed reminding that we actually have a one-party system, many disappointed Clinton supporters plan to vote McCain this November. As you can see, Democrats hardly espouse progressive values these days if they’d willingly vote for a war-mongering supporter of torture and secret wiretapping. Disappointed progressives for Clinton should consider voting for the only true progressive in the first place: Ralph Nader
You are correct, I just don’t see how Nader is the answer.
Nader is the answer for a couple of reasons:
1.) If you really believe that Republicans = Democrats, then he is the only other option you might have on a ballot
2.) Because if you’re socially progressive, there is no other candidate espousing your ideals. I would love it if there was a younger candidate taking up our cause, but I guess that’s why Nader has chosen Matt Gonzalez as his running mate.
Until Nader gets on a ballot, the US election will just be another sham in the name of “choice”
